Lake Eyre Flooding
I created this timelapse from historical NASA satellite imagery of Lake Eyre during the 2009 through 2011 floods. It's a fantastic illustration of how Lake Eyre floods, but also how different floods can be from year to year.

Astro timelapses are the perfect way to get the viewer feeling big picture. This timelapse was shot over several hours at William Creek, South Australia. It combines 500 x 20 second exposures with a wide angle lens, with post-processing of the images to remove noise prior to compilation into a video timelapse.

This compilation is approximately 15 minutes of images at 2 second intervals, with a longer shutter to introduce blur into each image. The clip provides a perfect segway between other shots, indicating passage of time and activity happening between frames.
